Nuclear Power Generation is assisting my daughter in the path to remission from an auto-immune disorder.

In our Canadian Nuclear Stations we harvest cobalt 60 from our reactors, process it into medical grade isotopes and ship it all over the world. It is used not only in cancer treatments but also for the sterilization of over 40% of the world's single use medical devices such as sutures, gloves and syringes.

My daughter’s monthly infusions use many single-use medical devices that are sterilized using the Cobalt 60 that is being produced right here in our stations.

Working in a nuclear station makes me proud to know I am playing a part in my daughter’s path to remission.
