Voices: Utahns deserve open conversations about nuclear opportunities.

Fereshteh exploring local trails in Bluff, UT

Fereshteh Bunk, Operations Associate for Mothers for Nuclear lives in Salt Lake City. So when MfN recieved some recent media attention from multiple outlets in Utah in response to some of our outreach with the collaboration-based siting program, she was in a unique and legitimate position to respond and clarify our position.

We understand that there is a lot of history and many feelings regarding nuclear in this area, and we hope to continue transparent and honest conversations with communities and all those who have concerns. Our energy landscape is complex, and we hope to not only share what we’ve learned about how nuclear energy protects our values, but to listen and support healing from past wrongs.

Here is Fereshteh’s letter in the Salt Lake Tribune encouraging us to keep talking.
